Project 30: School Visits

Senior secondary students are invited to experience the transformative 30th Kaldor Public Art Project, Marina Abramović: In Residence from Wednesday 24th June to Friday 26th June.

Students can explore the Marina Abramović method, the impact of long-durational practices and meet the artists participating in our unique residency program. An integral part of the exhibition’s Public Engagement Program, this 24-hour residency sees a selection of Australian artists, chosen by Abramović, living and working upstairs at Pier 2/3 for the duration of the exhibition.

We welcome enquiries from individuals, schools and special interest groups.

Please contact Sue Saxon, Education Manager, or Hannah McBride, Education Assistant, by phone (02) 9361 5066 or email at to discuss your visit and receive a booking form.

School groups must submit booking requests by email at least a fortnight prior to the exhibition opening.

Organised visits to the exhibition include an on-site briefing by one of our Educators, and the option of meeting participating Residency Artists on Level 1 of the Pier.

Please be aware that visitors are required to leave all bags, coats, watches and electronic devices in secure lockers, and wear noise-cancelling headphones to experience Marina Abramović: In Residence.
