Martin Boyce wins Turner prize

Project 18
artist Martin Boyce has won this year's Turner prize, one of the world's most prestigious art awards. The Turner Prize is awarded annually to a British artist under the age of 50, whose work is deemed innovative and important. Past winners include Damien Hirst and Anish Kapoor.


Kaldor Public Art Projects brought Boyce to Melbourne for Project 18 in 2008 where he created We are shipwrecked and landlocked, an installation at the Old Melbourne Gaol.
