Jones' barrangal dyara (skin and bones) is nearing completion on site at The Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney.
As we eagerly await the work's completion, we take a look back at the almost equally rapid, hugely ambitious process of building the Garden Palace over seven months in 1879.
