Project Facilitators

We are searching for project facilitators to participate in our 30th Project, Marina Abramović: In Residence, which will take place at Pier 2/3, Walsh Bay from 24 June to 5 July 2015.

Applicants should have an interest in long-durational performance art and be comfortable interacting with the public. Performance experience is not required but is welcomed. The role requires the ability maintain focus for long periods; people with long-durational practices, such as dance, meditation, sports and yoga, are encouraged to apply.

The Facilitators will be part of the Gallery Team who will be present in the installation with the artist, to assist with guided exercises, coordinate visitors and to support the artist in her delivery of this project. Applicants from all disciplines are welcomed - professional and amateur. Experience interacting directly with an audience and engaging with the public is preferred. All applicants must be at least 18 years old.

  • Applicants are required for a one-hour group interview on Thursday, 4 June or Friday, 5 June and a call-back audition on the morning of Saturday, 6 June.
  • Successful applicants will be notified on Sunday, 7 June.
  • Successful applicants will be required for 3 full days of training from Monday, 15 June - Wednesday, 17 June led by Lynsey Peisinger, performance artist and Marina Abramović collaborator.
  • Facilitators should be available to work between Monday, 22 June and Sunday, 5 July from 11.30am to 7.30pm.
