Bright Coloured Rope

GEOFF STEVENSON

Bright Coloured Rope
Detail of rope and fabric used in Christo and Jeanne-Claude's Wrapped Coast, 1969. Photo: Ellen Waugh

I was seven and I remember walking over the material and seeing the bright coloured rope everywhere. I saw it a few times I think as we lived nearby. My Grandmother and I collected the material and rope at the end of the exhibition and she had it for years and years around her house and in the garden.
