MOVE primary: Art in motion is an innovative contemporary video art resource for all primary students. Five acclaimed Australian artists, Shaun Gladwell, Jess MacNeil, Joan Ross, Grant Stevens and Daniel von Sturmer, have created video artworks and video introductions which form the basis of MOVE primary.
Diverse, engaging learning activities and practical, comprehensive teaching notes offer many avenues of dynamic exploration and response to this most contemporary of art forms. The resource builds on students’ familiarity with the moving image and interest in new technologies to enhance learning and engagement in the visual arts and across other subject areas.
This project has been produced in partnership with the New South Wales Department of Education and Communities and the New South Wales Curriculum and Learning Innovation Centre. It can be accessed online at the NSW Department of Education’s Teaching and Learning Exchange, and from a link on this page.
