Marina Abramović: In Residence has been nominated for Best Arts Program 2015 for the FBi SMAC Awards!
Established in 2008, the FBi SMAC Awards (FBi SMACs: A Festival of Sydney Music Arts and Culture) recognise and celebrate the artists, musos,
venues, promoters, creators and culture makers who keep Sydney’s creative heart beating.
Marina Abramović took over Pier 2/3 for Kaldor Public Art Project 30 in July
2015. The public were invited to take part in a series of exercises over 12 days, experiencing the work of Abramović first hand. The project also gave 12
Australian artists the once in a lifetime opportunity to be mentored by the artist herself.
You can vote for us, and many other talented Sydney-based visual artists, musicians, venues and events besides at the FBi SMACs website. Public
voting will run until 5pm December 18, 2015.
With audience engagement stronger than ever, FBi Radio will now bolster the success of their annual FBi SMAC Awards ceremony by taking over Carriageworks
with a new daylong festival on Sunday 10 January. The festival will spotlight the brightest talent and undiscovered gems from the
Sydney scene.
