Project 26 artists Jennifer Allora & Guillermo Calzadilla will be exhibiting in Australia once again, presenting their performance work Revolving Door as part of Project 27: 13 Rooms

For 13 Rooms, the American duo will be working with Sydney Dance Company's Artistic Director, Rafael Bonachela, to choreograph the piece for performance. Revolving Door will be performed by Sydney Dance Company and a rotating cast of 40 local dancers over the 11-day run of the project at Pier 2/3, Walsh Bay. Brent Street Studios are generously lending their support to the project, providing dancers and rehearsal space.

Revolving Door puts visitors in a kind of improvised dance with the performers, as they try to negotiate a changing space according to choreography that they can't predict. The physical vocabulary of the work draws on different manifestations of the human chain, including human barricades, chorus lines, military marches and sit-in protests, among others, displaying different possibilities for interaction between joined and single bodies.

Head down to Pier 2/3, Hickson Road, Walsh Bay, during Project 27: 13 Rooms to experience Rafael Bonachela's choreography of Allora & Calzadilla's Revolving Door.

Open from 11 April - 21 April, 11am - 7pm daily.
