I want to open the eyes of the young to the wonders of contemporary art.
- John Kaldor
Kaldor Public Art Projects is a uniquely valuable resource for contemporary visual arts research and learning. Our core belief is that learning through art encourages creativity, imagination and vital academic and social skills.
Along with our diverse range of accessible programs, we offer innovative resources, outreach activities, and tailored opportunities for students of all ages and backgrounds. Our commitment to participation, collaboration and professional development is informed by our goals:
Kaldor Public Art Projects has pioneered the use of new technology to present innovative models of participation and engagement with contemporary art.
Interactive digital resources have the potential to challenge the traditional teacher-led approach both onsite or in the classroom – bringing the artistic
and curatorial process to life, allowing students and audiences to direct their own learning and generating new online communities. Kaldor Public Art
Projects, in partnership with the New South Wales Department of Education, has developed the screen-based resources MOVE: Video art in schools and
MOVE Primary: Art in motion to support the curriculum in primary and secondary schools.
